The Consell de Formentera, through the Culture area, presents the XV edition of the Children’s Show Show that will bring four shows to Formentera between January 12 and 14. The Show is organized by Sa Xerxa of children’s and youth theater of the Balearic Islands and the Consell de Formentera. This year, the sample presents the same edition number of 2022 because last year it was postponed due to the pandemic.
Vanessa Parellada, Acting Councilor for Culture, pointed out that “with the Mostra we want to continue providing a good theatrical and cultural offer for children and their families on the island, while supporting the theatrical cultural industry.”
The starting signal will be on Thursday, January 12 with a puppet show, actors and live music: The Endrapasomnis. In the land of Good Son, Princess Dormissona cannot sleep because she has nightmares. Her parents, the kings, ruminate, they sleep on it, they ask for advice from doctors, herbalists and charlatans but they can’t find any remedy to cure the little princess’s illness. Perhaps the Endrapasueños is the solution… A dreamlike and magical story that tells us about fear, the therapeutic value of stories and how we look for solutions far away when the answer may be within ourselves.
The show is directed by the companies Teatre al Detall and La Tresca y la Verdesca. This show, which lasts 60 minutes, is aimed at schools. It will take place in the Culture Room (Cinema) with two sessions: at 10:00 am and at 12:00 pm.
The Mostra continues on Friday, January 13 with two performances: one musical and the other theatrical. The company La Tresca y la Verdesca presents Concert with la Tresca and la Verdesca. It is an animated musical show with songs and dances with a repertoire of its own creation and composition. Directed to the users of the Day Center, it will be presented in the same place at 11:00. It lasts 40 minutes.
On the same day, the following performance is focused on children from 0 to 4 years old, and comes from the Teatre al Detall. This show combines actors, objects and music with the title El Núvol gris, gras i gros. This is the story of a traveling cloud that decides to return home and unleash a good storm that waters the fields and cleans the streets. But it seems that it is difficult to find the right moment… and it is that it never rains to everyone’s taste. This play, which lasts 25 minutes, will take place at the Sant Ferran Reading Point at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free.
On Saturday, January 14, the Exhibition of Shows will end with a colorful and lively puppet show L’aventura d’avorrir-se by the Estaquirot Teatre company. Rita is a girl who, despite having many toys, is always bored and doesn’t know how to play alone. But one day at home the grandmother, with a simple rubber duck, begins an adventure that will take her to travel with her imagination to the world of colors, discovering surprising characters… The show is recommended to all audiences, and can be seen to be seen in the Culture Room (Cinema) at 6:00 p.m. It lasts 50 minutes.

The functions on Saturday and Sunday are priced at €4. Tickets can be purchased on the website entredasformentera.cat where information will be provided from Wednesday, January 4. Entry will be free for unemployed people and self-employed persons with no activity.
