The Barruguet Family Theatre Festival is back in all its glory for its eighth edition, which will take place from the 20th to the 22nd of May in the streets and auditoriums of the town of Santa Eulària, according to the Town Hall on Tuesday. The festival, organised by the Department of Culture of the Santa Eulària Town Council, this year brings back the travelling shows, which could not take place in the 2021 edition due to the pandemic.

The Barruguet Family Theatre Festival is held every year on the fourth weekend in May in Santa Eulària (Ibiza). Three days of culture, magic and fun for all ages, including the youngest, with shows for children from 6 months old.

In each edition the programme offers a wide range of genres: text theatre, puppetry, clown, circus, dance, musical animation, indoor and street theatre, itinerant…

The diversity and versatility of our venues, including non-conventional spaces, facilitates the programming of very different kinds of shows, from medium-large to very small formats.

The barruguet is a legendary character, characterised by being very mischievous and a bit of a rascal… A festival with the heart of a fantastic being that will delight the child in all of us.
