FIET has once again been a success with audiences and shows. Almost all the shows were sold out.

More than 10,000 people came to the FIET, the 19th edition of the Vilafranca Children’s and Young People’s Theatre Fair, this weekend. A total of 7,897 tickets were sold, 1,971 schoolchildren took part in the Fira, as well as all the people who attended the street performances. The theatrical offer, selected with criteria of quality and innovation, has included contemporary dance shows, object and documentary theatre, magic, musical installations, circus, trap and other genres that have been enjoyed by children and adults alike.

38 performing arts companies have participated in FIET 2021 and 41 shows have been performed in 78 open performances, 24 school performances and 2 works in progress. It is thus reaffirmed as the most important children’s and youth theatre fair in the Balearic Islands, which was held from 14th to 17th October in Vilafranca de Bonany.

Professional Conferences

It is also worth mentioning the return of the professional conferences, which were attended by 60 people. The FIET has received in Vilafranca professionals, companies and programmers of the performing arts both from the Balearic Islands and Spain, as well as international ones.

The organisation would like to highlight the importance of all the people who have collaborated with FIET, people and institutions and volunteers, without whom FIET would not be possible. In this new edition, we would also like to thank all the people who have passed through the FIET after this little by little return to normality and the respect and adaptation to the sanitary restrictions in force.
