From 14 to 16 May, the youngest children can enjoy dance, circus, gestural theatre, puppetry and musical entertainment at the Teatre Principal de Maó with the Festival de Teatre Infantil de Maó (Maó Children’s Theatre Festival).
The Maó Children’s Theatre Festival returns in May. Organised by the Principal Theatre of Maó, the Maó Town Council and the Network of Children’s and Young People’s Theatre of the Balearic Islands, the festival has established itself as one of the cultural activities of reference in Menorca’s spring and an unmissable event for family audiences.
In the current edition, the ninth, four shows of different languages and registers (contemporary dance, gestural theatre, puppetry, circus), some of which have won awards in prestigious national competitions, will be on show. This is the case of El viaje de Ulises, by the company Gorakada, recognised with the Fetén Award for Best Show 2019, or Distans, by Vol’e Temps, with different mentions at the Fetén, Territorio Violeta and Lorca awards. A few days before, from 11 to 13 May, a musical entertainment proposal will be added for the nursery schools of Maó and Sant Climent.
